Our Cecilla the Crab can be seen in this months edition of Chelsea Life!
Cecilla is a mud Crab. She was originally from the Pacific coastal rim but can now even be found as far away as the Florida coast. The Objet Luxe Cecilla was created from a hand carved wax sculpture which is caste in solid bronze and silver plated.
Not only is she quirky and beautiful but she also has a big secret! Her shell is hinged and lifts open and reveals a compartment for your extra special small treasures. You can be sure that Cecilla will protect your trinkets with her powerful claws!

Like the actual flower, the Tulipa is a large radial flower, which is showy and bright. By carefully manipulating the soft malleable clay, we transform the material into a delicate and refined object. The transformation goes through several stages. First, the shaping of the clay, then the drying process, before glazing and firing. The final step is the gilding inside to create the fabulous luminous finish.
Once your candle is lit inside, the Tulipa will be illuminated with a gentle flicker.

Glacier Ashtray & Bowl – Snail Ink
Our Glacier Ashtray / Bowl Snail Ink in Blue is mouth blown by skilled artisans. The finishing touch is the feature silver plated snail embellishment, which is hand made and then fixed to the ashtray.
It is available in Ink colour, grey colour and gold. They can be made as bowls or ashtrays.
All glass items are handmade and can therefore vary slightly in dimension.

Glassblowing is a passion
It is all about timing. How long you heat, the time you have to shape the object before it hardens – and knowing when to stop!
Our experienced studio glassblowers are known as Gaffers. They’re calm and focused and keep working. Even withstanding extremely high temperatures, they don’t lose concentration for a second and have a steady hand too.
The Objet Luxe glass collection was born out of our love of the Jurassic Coast in the South West of England.
Inspired by long winter walks on empty beaches with huge skies watching the constantly changing moods of the sea and sky.
Many of our handblown glass pieces are held in stock and ready for immediate delivery, the actual quantity in stock is shown on the product page.
If you select an item that is showing as not in stock or available on back order it will be handmade for you and delivered as soon as possible.
Currently such items will be delivered within 5 – 6 weeks of the date of purchase.

Shagreen, often called galuchat or stingray, is a richly textured strong material which has been used for centuries as a decorative surface. Here, we have created small cushions of shagreen, carefully assembled into a modern geometric pattern.
