Dunwich Heath & Beach, Suffolk

If you’re looking for a seemingly endless beach, look no further than Dunwich Heath & Beach in Suffolk. It’s a hot spot for long meandering walks which are made all the more beautiful by the adjacent pink-and-purple-patchwork heath. This National Trust site is full of wildlife and a wealth of colourful flora.

Wonderful Sussex

West Beach, Littlehampton

This is a wonderful little pebble beach which is accessed via a short walk across beautiful white dunes on wooden walkways. As the tide recedes, West Beach gives way to expansive flat golden sands – a truly wonderful place for a picnic or a game of beach cricket. For those who wish to holiday with their fury companions, West Beach is an absolute paradise for dogs, who are welcome year-round.

Luxury UK Escapes along Devon’s Shores

Blackpool Sands, Devon

This soft-shingle beach forms a natural cove and is situated just along from Dartmouth. Set below a winding coastal road that is aligned with pine trees, the drive there feels more like the South of France than the UK!

Stoke Gabriel, Devon

This lovely little village and parish in Devon is situated on a creek of the River Dart. It’s a very popular tourist destination in the South Hams, famed for its mill pond and crab fishing. A truly fabulous place to take the children.

Hope Cove, Devon

Hope Cove beaches are popular throughout the year because they cater for a range of interests. If you’re an adventure-seeker, grab your paddleboard or kayak at low tide and explore the numerous caves along the coastline which was once famed for pirates and smugglers!

For those looking for a more calming and serene experience, the South West Coast Path runs directly past the beaches at Hope Cove. This is a fantastic route for walkers and hikers to see the sights of the rolling flower-clad clifftops. The views are unbeatable.

For those just looking for a simple and effortless beach day, drive down by car, park up and enjoy a peaceful rest on the gorgeous shores.

Cornwall

Kynance Cove, Cornwall

In the southernmost part of England, located on ‘The Lizard’, Kynance Cove is one of Cornwall’s prettiest beaches. The beach waters are bright blue and there are seals who also frequently visit the shores of Kynance Cove.

Pentle Bay, Isle of Tresco

Many tourists venture to Cornwall for it’s gorgeous towns and beaches, however very few go just a stretch further to the Isles of Scilly, despite their close proximity to Cornwall. We highly recommend that you go a little bit further and visit the five islands and hundreds of tiny islets. On the island of Tresco, you’ll find the immaculate white sand beach of Pentle Bay.

Botany Bay, Kent

Botany Bay is best known for its dramatic chalk towers and it is set along a gorgeous coastal footpath and Viking Coastal Cycling route, for all of those who love to be active on their holiday. Just a short 10 minute drive away is the Turner Contemporary in Margate which is well worth a visit too.

Scotland’s Luxury UK Escapes

Traigh Iar, North Uist Island

Traigh Iar Beach is wonderfully secluded, situated on the western side of North Uist Island, off the western coast of Scotland. Lined with the distinctive Machair terrain, this crescent-shaped beach is a truly serene place to take a breath and admire the ethereal beauty. Visit and you’ll find cattle and wild horses grazing, thatched-roofed cottages, still waters and incredibly pure air.

Our handmade Jura Glass spherical bowl was inspired by the Corryvreckan whirlpool which occurs on spring tides off the west coast of Scotland. The delicate pearls of glass swirl in a myriad of colours glisten on the surface of the bowl.

Luxury UK Escapes in Picturesque Wales

Three Cliffs Bay along The Gower Peninsula, Wales

Set on top of the limestone cliffs off the Gower Peninsula, you’ll find several winding pathways, pass through small swamplands and overgrown meadows and a castle ruin. All of this leads to Three Cliffs Bay, a picturesque little cove which is undoubtedly one of the most stunning sites in all of Wales.

What’s arguably most special is the naturally occurring phenomenon there – a meandering river bay heading towards the ocean, forming a narrow marshland which seeps into a beach patched with rushes, rock pools and shallow lagoons.

Llanddwyn Island, Wales

This enchanting little island is connected to the west coast of Anglesey, northern Wales. The beach is connected by a narrow causeway that’s surrounded by several small coves and sandy bays. 

To reach the iconic white lighthouse that sits on a rocky peak overlooking the Irish Sea, follow the long, winding pathway situated amongst craggy precipices and grassy verges. Beautiful and somewhat mystic. The Welsh patron saint of love (Dwynwen) is thought to have settled here, after having been outcast by her family and attacked by the man she loved. Dwynwen’s legacy is felt to surround the energy of the island and casts a touch of magic to the beach.

Luxury UK Escapes on the Serene Shores of Northern Ireland

Murlough, Northern Ireland

Part of Northern Island’s nature reserve, the gorgeous Murlough Beach is a five kilometre stretch of smooth white sand at the foot of the shadowy peaks of the Mourne mountain range. 

The beach backs onto a collection of 6,000-year-old dunes which are blanketed in wild grasses and wonderful flower life, making this beach a site of great ecological significance. You spot many butterfly species, wild horses, fowl and waders who all call this place home, along the sand hills. The elusive and beautiful grey seal are frequently spotted in the water.
