Time needed: 6 minutes.
Gift wrapping boxes how to – step by step
- Step 1: Lay out the paper and centre the box in the middle
General rule: with the box in the middle, if you’re to fold the paper over the box on every side, it must cover the box (i.e. end of the paper to furthest edge of the box) – then you know you have enough paper
- Step 2: Fold 2 opposite sides of the wrapping paper on top of each other
With the box in the centre, take one side of the paper and fold it over the box. Then, take the directly opposite side of paper and fold that to the other side of the box and fix this position with tape. You have sort of created a ‘tunnel’.
- Step 3: Pick 2 opposing sides and ‘poke’ to fold the paper inwards, creating 2 flat tabs of paper – do this on both sides and fix with tape
- This step is optional: adorn & decorate your gift wrapped boxes with ribbon, for a beautiful finishing touch!
