Galapagos Turtle Box with Limpet Shells
Introduce a touch of natural beauty to your home decor with our hand made silver-plated Galapagos turtle sculpture and box. Expertly crafted from high-quality materials and plated in radiant silver, this piece boasts intricate detailing and a unique design. Authentic limpet shells adorn the turtle’s body, adding authenticity to the piece.
Measuring at 15 cm in height and 34 cm in length, it is the perfect size to display on a bookshelf, desk or mantel. Not only is it a beautiful decor item, but also a conversation starter and a great gift for any turtle enthusiast. The Galapagos turtle, also known as the Galapagos giant tortoise, is a species that is native to the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador. Its long lifespan and slow movement have earned it recognition as one of the world’s most iconic species. The fine craftsmanship and attention to detail make this sculpture a true work of art that will be treasured for years to come.
We cleverly construct the tortoise by using highly polished limpet shells. They first sculpt the tortoise by hand, then cast it in brass, and heavily silver plate it. They fit the tortoise with an exotic shell back made from limpet shells, which they hinge to create a box lined with faux snakeskin.
Sustainability:
Shells used by Objet Luxe are ethically sourced from sustainable sources. We only use the finest quality naturalĀ raw materials, all of which comply to CITES and all international environmental legislation.

Personalisation
Whether you choose to add classic initials, a special message or a memorable date, you can create a truly individual gift for someone special. As individuals, we have been engraving, carving and decorating for thousands of years, to create something special. It was the European jewellery goldsmiths in middle ages, who developed the technique of engraving onto metalwork. Today the method and technique is essentially still the same.
