Brother UK conducted a Workplace Organisation Survey, interviewing more than 2,000 UK office workers. They uncovered the effect that a disorganised desk can have on everyday life – and some of the results are quite shocking.

- 1-in 3 office workers could be missing out on a promotion because they have a messy desk
- £148 is the average cost incurred through having a messy and disorganised desk
- 33% have lost items worth between £10 to £500
- 49% said and untidy work space affects how they feel about going to work each day
- Office workers with tidy and organised desks are 53% in control, 52% more productive and 48% happier
- 70% of managers perceive those with an untidy work space as being disorganised
It’s totally understandable. When you’re busy working hard, whilst also in some cases focusing on home-schooling, or your attention is just divided that day, you must focus on just getting through your to-do list. Naturally this can make it very difficult for you to keep your desk tidy. Your desk can become mounted with all sorts!
